Metal Labels

I work in a school and the other day my department ordered some plastic storage boxes for pupils` materials on. When the boxes came I realised that they all had metal labels on them. This seemed to me to be a good idea as the metal labels mean that things can labelled and categorised much more easily than before. Similarly, the fact that there are metal labels means that they are much less likely to be damaged or fall off the boxes as I have found tended to happen in the past. One of the things that has amazed me when ordering stationery in a school is the amount of things you need to take into consideration even when ordering the most straightforward of things such as these. When young people are involved, you have to take so many things into account: is the item safe? Can it be tampered with? etc. These are all things that I have to consider each time I place an order and, although it can be irritating at times, I can never accuse my job of being boring.

ID Tags

I have just got two cats and realise that I need to buy ID tags for both. We have been wanting to get the cats for a long time and when we finally decided to go for it, the children were delighted. Obviously, one of the reasons we did not buy ID tags for them immediately was because they needed to be named and I really wanted the children to be involved in that. I had anticipated lots of arguments about the names for the cats as my children are constantly fighting against each other forever. However, this time, the children were completely unanimous in their choice of names and I was delighted that a decision had been made so simply and well by both children. Now the cats have got their names, the whole family agrees that ID tags are extremely important for them. My son in particular is really worried about them going missing and, even though I explain to him that this is unlikely, I know that he will not settle unless their tags are on their collars so I am going to a pet shop to get them this evening.

Metal Tags

My friend has got some metal tags on her suitcases for when she goes on holiday so that she can insert her travel details into each one to make sure her suitcase does not get lost. I think these metal tags are a great idea because they are very substantial, making sure that her details are displayed in a prominent place without looking flimsy as many tags on suitcases do. You know the sort of flimsy tags that look as though they will fall off if you touch them. These metal tags are completely the opposite and I would defy anybody not to say that they were the absolutely ideal thing to keep your suitcases safe. However, another friend pointed out that, no matter how careful with tags people are, suitcases still go missing on an extremely regular basis. I must say, I understood what my friend was talking about, particularly as I have had my suitcase lost on a number of occasions but when I thought about it, I did think it was a good thing to be able to take control of the information we display on our suitcases and, if it means that it is less likely to get lost then it can only be a good thing on the whole.

Aluminium Labels

I work for a company which manufactures and sells aluminium labels. I think that aluminium labels are a great idea because they are very lightweight and a really good alternative to paper. When I first heard about the job going in a firm which makes aluminium labels I thought that the job might be a little boring but, because I was out of work, I thought that I would apply anyway and judge properly when I had a little more information. I could not have been more wrong. From the very beginning of my interview I thought that I would enjoy myself in this job as the people who interviewed me were kindness itself and they were keen to impress upon me that there was a real fun side to the job with lots of regular social events to make sure everybody worked well together as a team. They were not wrong and from the moment I began work at the company I have enjoyed every minute of my time there. I have met some wonderful colleagues who have become close friends and I really look forward to going to work every day. I really don`t think that I can ask for more from my job than this.

Engraved Labels

I am secretary for the local tennis club and I have been asked to get some engraved labels made for the cups that we will be giving out in our next tennis tournament. Obviously, we cannot get engraved labels before the tournament since we do not know who is going to win yet. However, I thought that I would get ahead of myself a little and find a company who is a reliable supplier of engraved labels so that, after the tournament, when the winners are known, I can get their cups engraved quickly so that they will have their prizes as soon as possible after the event. We are all really excited about this tournament, particularly the men`s final, as there are two really evenly matched players and the jury is totally out about who is going to win. Both of them are excellent players and really exciting to watch and there is a real buzz about the club in the anticipation of this event. I cannot wait for the tournament and really hope that both of these favourites reach the final. I am sure that they will as there is really nobody else in the club who matches them in terms of talent and pace.
