My boyfriend works for a company that designs and makes Perspex signs for businesses. My boyfriend`s role within the company is to actually design the Perspex signs and he has come up with some wonderful colours and images over the years. He is so good at designing the Perspex signs that the same clients ask for him to complete their designs over and over again. As he is so much in demand, his job is really quite secure at the moment. This is a really good thing as he really enjoys his work and would be devastated if he could not spend his working hours being creative as he does at the moment. He has always said that he could only work at a job that allows him to use his talents and I totally understand what he means. Obviously, he could sit at home and draw and paint all day but he would not get paid for doing this and, he knows as well as I do that it is very important for him to bring in some money each month to fund his lifestyle. We both think that he has the best of both worlds at the moment in that he can be creative as well as earn some money. Long may it continue.

 

 

Glass Signs

 

I have been looking at some glass signs to put up on the outside of my house as I think they look really nice and are a great way of showing your house name or number. I first saw glass signs at a colleague`s house and I was really impressed by how special they made her house look. She told me that she had bought her glass signs from a specialist supplier and that they would design signs to any specification you desired. When I contacted the company and asked for their help I was really surprised by how much they charged for their service and this is the reason why I have been looking elsewhere. I have had to weigh up the difference in service and design from the different companies I have looked at and I believe that finally I have come up with the perfect supplier. The company I have chosen make fabulous designs and I have already chosen the design that I would love for my house. Furthermore, their charges are much less than the company which my friend recommended so I am really pleased that I will get my signs made just as well for a fraction of the cost.

 

 

Perspex Signage

 

My sister`s boyfriend has just got a new job erecting Perspex signage for shops, businesses and restaurants. We are all really relieved that he has found this job as he has been out of work for quite some time now and he was beginning to despair that he would ever get back into work at all. Although he has no experience of erecting Perspex signage, I think the fact that he was so enthusiastic at interview went a long way towards getting him the job. He told me that when he was asked about what he knew about Perspex signage, he just used his common sense and talked about the types of signs that he sees on a regular basis. This obviously impressed the people who interviewed him because they offered him the job straight away. He has now just completed his first week at work and is thoroughly enjoying himself. As he says, it has really made a difference to him to have something to get out of bed for every morning and I know it will feel even better when he receives his first pay cheque at the end of the month.

My father owns a business which makes acrylic signage for restaurant and shop fronts. His acrylic signage seems to be constantly in demand, even though the downturn in the economy is still evident. My father believes that his business is so busy because, even in a downturn businesses still need acrylic signage. Indeed, he argues that in difficult times his product can be even more in demand because businesses are changing all of the time. Some business will go to the wall and new businesses will open in their wake with all of them needing signs to forge their identity properly. I am obviously really pleased that my father`s company is doing so well but the thing that is worrying me is my father thinks that I am going to work for him in the business when I complete my university degree. I have tried to tell him many times that I want to forge my own way in the world but he does not want to listen. I just really hope that he will be kind enough to allow me to do what I want to do rather than what he thinks will be good for me.
